Welcome to the blog of Jennifer Alexandria Photography

Ethan and Mary's big day!

It all began with a phone call in October. First, I couldn't believe the wedding date was being moved up six months! Second, Mary wanted me to photograph the wedding!? Let's be honest here, I was completely nervous when she asked me, but how could I say no to the opportunity? It didn't take long for me to get over the nervousness and become super excited to take pictures of my first wedding alone. Excited as I was, the butterflies came back only a few days before the wedding (I even had a bad dream that I didn't make it to the big day!). As soon as the much-anticipated day arrived the nerves were gone again and it was honestly a lot of fun. Despite the rain, Mary and Ethan were completely relaxed and easy to be around. Congratulations to the both of you! You know it was God's plan when everything worked out so perfectly (especially the dress and venue, Mary!). The Lord has great plans for your lives. Thanks for allowing be to take part in your big day and for trusting me. Now hopefully I can begin doing more weddings :)

p.s. The Jennifer Alexandria Photography facebook page is officially up and running, don't forget to "like" it.

Wyllie family Christmas pictures

A few weeks ago Tyler Joy Photography asked me to come along on her shoot with the Wyllie family. I didn't take many pictures, but these are just a few of my favorites from the day that I thought I would share.

Fall has come and gone!

Last week the leaves displayed their color during the "prime time" of fall (in Souther California, that is) as they fell from trees covering yards and sidewalks. This week trees are bare, a sign that winter is on it's way. I can't believe how quickly autumn passed and my lack of entries during my favorite season. I guess priorities have to take over sometimes. About a month ago I was in the mood to shoot a fall session so Tyler, Savannah, Clark, Lauren and I walked around Sand Canyon for a couple of hours shooting away. Sorry it took so long to get these up, but they tell me "better late then never," right?

I've also been working on getting the Jennifer Alexandria Photography facebook up and running, so it should up within the next day or two. Oh and not too mention, I'm doing my first ever wedding as "THE" photographer this Saturday. It's supposed to rain. Just my luck, but can't wait! :)

Almost done!

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I've been concentrating on school with finals coming up soon. I'll be finished with my first semester of college in exactly one week! It seemed like it was going so fast until I started counting down the last five weeks. I'll have more free time on my hands than what I know to do with, so let's have a photo shoot. We can go on an adventure anywhere. I will also be posting more pictures in about a week or so. Make sure you check back soon. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Have a good holiday season everyone!

Natalie Keoshian: head shots

This semester I am taking a black and white film photography class at COC, and Natalie volunteered to be a model for one of my assignments. In return, I told her that I would be willing to take digital pictures as well. It ends up that Natalie needed head shots for college applications, so it was perfect! We met at 8 a.m., which is pretty early for a Saturday (but I never mind early photo shoots because of the good lighting), and drove to a spot in Newhall that I had wanted to use for a while. It was a surprisingly cold morning because I could actually see my breath, but we both were completely fine with that :). Natalie, thank you so much for helping me out on my assignment, and I'm glad I could help you out!
